Based in Kentucky’s bourbon heartland, Bardstown Bourbon Company combines modern distilling with a creative approach to blending. Its Fusion Series pairs the distillery’s own younger bourbons with carefully selected older Kentucky bourbon, bringing different recipes and ages together to create depth, balance and character.
The final release in the series, Fusion #9 combines 2 estate-distilled 4-year-old bourbons with 12-year-old Kentucky bourbon and is bottled at 48.4%. Butterscotch and ripe cherry aromas mingle with mint, coconut and black pepper. The palate is generous and richly textured, layering red fruit with maple sweetness. A lingering finish carries caramel and warming rye spice, balancing the blend’s fruit-forward richness with a lively, spicy edge.
